Don Tucker, a Michigan attorney for over fifty years, retired from the active practice of law in 2010 and formed Don Tucker Consulting, LLC, to provide clients with political, public policy and business advice, and guidance in the selection and oversight of counsel in legal matters throughout the country.
Don’s experience is broadly based. After business school and law school, Don served as Legislative Counsel to a United States Senator, as Chairman of the Board of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority for nearly a decade (appointed to that position by both Democratic and Republican governors), and was a member of the Michigan Public Transportation Council. His legal experience includes serving both private and public sector clients in the state and federal courts throughout the country and providing business advice to corporations in expansion, acquisition, workout, and succession planning matters.
Don has provided public policy advice in the retail, real estate development, recycling, conservation, construction, healthcare, and financial services sectors, among others, and has served as a campaign advisor for candidates on the national, state, and local levels.
Don also serves on the Board of Directors of Cinnaire (formally the Great Lakes Capital Fund), a national leader in the funding of affordable housing development and community development, and on the board of the Bipartisan Leadership Project, created to educate political and government to find practical public policy solutions through civil discourse.
